I use the EK6 Max 2.0 to commute 15 miles each way and still have plenty of battery left when I get home. The motor pulls hard on hills and the fat tires feel really stable on rough city streets.
I wanted something fun that could handle trails and errands. This bike does both. I love the upright riding position and the display is easy to read even in bright sun. Assembly took about 30 minutes with the included tools.
The power and range are fantastic. I easily get 40–50 miles mixing throttle and pedal assist. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is the bike is a bit heavy to lift into my SUV, but once it’s on the ground it rides great.
I was nervous about switching to an e-bike but I’m so glad I did. The EK6 Max 2.0 makes longer rides feel easy and the hydraulic brakes give me a lot of confidence in traffic. The rear rack is strong enough for my laptop bag and groceries.
I’m 6'3" and around 230 lbs and this bike still feels solid and planted. Plenty of torque even on steep hills. The suspension fork and fat tires soak up cracks, roots, and gravel nicely.
Overall really happy. I mainly ride in PAS 2 or 3 and can go most of the weekend on one charge. It did take a few rides to get used to the power coming on but now it feels natural.
I’ve put a little over 300 miles on the bike so far. No issues other than tightening the rear rack bolts once. Battery life is exactly what I hoped for and the bike still feels tight and quiet.
